Easy Knife Sharpening With a Scissors
This is really a one step, dead simple way to sharpen a knife. NOTE: I wouldn't do this to a really nice, quality knife, but for the average kitchen knife it works great. I also would not use a high quality scissors...a cheap $2-3, stamped stainless steel bladed scissor works well.
Requirements:
1 dull knife
1 cheap scissors
Open the scissor to about a 30 degree V angle.
Draw the sharp edge of the blade straight across the V notch with a little light pressure 5 to 10 times.
Viola...a sharper knife. It actually does little damage if any to the normal use of the scissor either.
Thicker bladed knives may require a more open angle of scissor and thin blades, a more closed angle.
