Easy IR Remote Jammer

How can you make a infrared remote jammer with no soldering no LEDs and no electronics experience required? With black tape of course!

1 IR TV remote (or more if you plan to block multiple remotes)
1 roll of black electrical tape
1 utility knife or hole punch (depending on what type of remote you are blocking)
1 pen (optional)

First you will need to trace the outline of the infrared emitter of the remote with the pen.

Then you cut the tape to match the outline.

This is the easy part you put the tape on the remote and smooth it so that it is barely noticeable.

NOTE: the tape must cover at least 95% of the emitter

Now just place the remote where your unsuspecting victim will find it.
