First we want to make our peanut butter mixture that we will have on the inside of our Peanut Butter Cup. The goal here is to have a mixture that resembles play dough in texture. Start with your peanut butter and then add your softened butter and mix those together with a fork or spoon. Then add in your powdered sugar about 1/3 of it at a time, until it comes together and the mixture isn't sticky anymore. If it is still sticky, just add a little more powdered sugar. Now take a piece of it and roll it up into a small flattened ball. Just smaller then your paper cup. I like to roll out all of these at first.

Melt and Fill

Now let's melt our chocolate. You can do this in the microwave, in a bowl, with bursts of 30 seconds, then stir, 30 seconds, then stir, 20 seconds, stir, until it is all melted. Or you can use the double boiler method if you like on the stovetop. If you are going to bring these to a party and they will be sitting out for long periods of time I recommend using chocolate candy melts, if you are just going to have them at home and can store them in the fridge, I recommend using real chocolate. I like to make two kinds, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Once your chocolate is melted, take about a teaspoon and fill up the bottom of the paper cups.

Place and Fill

Now we place in our peanut butter pieces, and then come back and top them off with the chocolate. Another fun thing I like to do is milk chocolate on the bottom and then dark chocolate on the top, to mix it up a bit.

Chillin

No let's take our peanut butter cups and chill them in the fridge so the chocolate can set.

Enjoy!
