Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar. Then add the butter and egg, mix thoroughly with a hand mixer. Make into a ball. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Take a small amount of dough and form it into a one inch ball. Put on the cookie sheet and with a slightly damp hand push the ball down to your desired thickness. Use a cookie cuter to make a circle. Bake in the oven for 9 minutes. Once done put cookies on cooling racks.

In a small bowl mix butter and shortening together. Slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla until it is light and fluffy. Once your cookies are cool put your desired amount of filling in between the cookies. The best part is you can put however much filling on as you want. If want an Oreo with a little extra twist just add some mint or peppermint extract in your filling to taste and a few drops of green food coloring, now you have a mint Oreo. Enjoy!!!
