Easy Herbal Concoction

Concoction is prepared by boiling mixture of herbs and spices in Water.
These Concoctions can be prepared using easily available ingredients in our kitchen.
During this Pandemic it is better to avoid cold drinks, sugar containing drinks and advised to have luke warm drinks to prevent from throat infections.
Including these Concoctions daily in your diet prevent infections or attack of foreign pathogens.
We are preparing these Concoctions by just using Water mixed with Herbs and spices.
We feel refreshed by having these Concoction .

Supplies

Ginger turmeric concoction

  • Small Ginger
  • Small inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 Cloves
  • 4 to 5 Pepper corns
  • Turmeric powder
  • Honey

Procedure for Ginger Turmeric Concoction

Take a mortar pestle and add Ginger pieces in it.
Add 2 cloves and 2 cardamom.


Ginger possess antibacterial and antiviral property. Ginger is known to increase WBC count to fight against foreign pathogens.
Ginger also act as decongestant which help ease runny nose, nasal itch and sneezing.

CLOVES also have lot of medicinal value. Eugenol present in cloves eases digestion.
Cloves have antiseptic, antimicrobial,antiviral property.
It Is also rich in antioxidants and helps in fighting free radical damage to our body and thus boosts our immune system. We can include cloves in regular diet and preparing clove tea is also best replacement for normal tea or coffee.

Add Pepper Corns and Cinnamon Stick

Next add 5 pepper corns and small inch Cinnamon.
Black Pepper relieves cold and cough. It stimulates blood circulation and mucus flow.
It also aids in digestion and is rich in antioxidants.

CINNAMON is also rich in antioxidants, reduces sugar levels and also fights against infections.

Crush All Ingredients

After adding all ingredients crush them using pestle.

Adding Crushed Ingredients

Now take 2 cups of water in a vessel.
Add the crushed ingredients to the water in the vessel.

Add Turmeric Powder

Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder.
Turmeric itself is a natural healer and an antibiotic. Turmeric contains an important compound with medicinal properties called curcumin. curcumin cleanses the respiratory tract, It has anti microbial and anti inflammatory effects.

Boiling

After adding crushed ingredients and turmeric powder to the water .Mix everything.Let the concoction boil for about 10 minutes .

Add Honey

Honey is good replacement for sugar. If you want little sweetness you can add honey to it.
Adding honey and lemon to hot tea soothes soar throat. Honey is rich in antioxidants.

Strain

Strain the boiled liquid using strainer
Ginger turmeric tea is ready.Have the tea little warm and you feel very relaxed.

Mint Concoction

Ingredients:

  • Fistful of mint leaves
  • Small inch Cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 5 Black pepper corns
  • Little lemon juice
  • Honey

Procedure

Take mortar pestle and add fistful of mint leaves in it
Mint leaves are very refreshing reduces depression and relaxes mind.
Mint extracts contain menthol that extracts mucus from the lungs and relieves congestion.
Inhaling strong aroma of mint opens nasal passage and eases breathing.
Thus mint leaves relieves soar throat and prevents cold, cough.

Add Cloves and Cinnamom

Add 3 cloves and small inch Cinnamon to the mortar pestle.

Add Cardamom and Pepper Corns

Add 2 Cardamom and 8 to 9 pepper corns.

Crush All the Ingredients

Crush all the added ingredients using mortar pestle.

Take Water in Vessel

Now take 2 cups of water in vessel and add the crushed ingredients to the water and bring to boil.

Boil for 10 Minutes

Boil for about 10 minutes. By boiling for long duration all ingredients flavours gets absorbed in to the water.

Strain

Strain the liquid using strainer.Add very little lime juice and give a mix

At last add honey and give a mix. Mint is ready. Tea is very effective when taken warm.

Ginger Tulsi Tea

Tulsi is also known as Holy Basil. This plant is considered as auspicious in India and worshipped in many parts of the Indian subcontinent. This holy basil has lot of medicinal value and healing properties.
Having a cup of tulsi tea enhances immunity and expel phlegm in case you have cough. It also prevents respiratory illness and is useful for asthma patients.
This antioxidants rich tea will help you relax, reduce stress and strengthen immune system.

Ingredients for Ginger Tulsi Tea

  • Small inch ginger
  • 5 tulsi leaves
  • Small inch cinnamon
  • 2 cardamom
  • 9 pepper corns
  • Punch of turmeric
  • Honey

Take 2 cups of water in vessel. Add the crushed ingredients.

Add Basil Leaves and Turmeric Powder

Add basil leaves, pinch of turmeric powder and bring to boil until all the flavours gets absorbed in to water .

Boil for About 10 Minutes

Lemon Honey Concoction

Lemon honey tea is so good, especially if you have a cough or congestion. The lemon juice helps cut through congestion and the honey soothes the throat.
Lemon honey water can be a good detox drink and provides instant energy .

Ingredients Required for Lemon Honey Tea:

  • Lemon
  • Water
  • Honey

Add Honey and Lime Juice to Luke Warm Water

Salt Water Gargel

Take Luke warm in a glass .Add pinch of salt and give a mix.
Gargling this water 2 to 3 times a day relieves soar throat.
Salt water gargling clears phlegm from throat and kills the germs. It also freshens breathe instantly.
