This is a tutorial to make a cute little felted toadstool.

Supplies

You will need...

Wool (white/tan and brown)

Felting needle

Felting mat

The Basics of Felting

Felting is the craft of getting wool, stabbing it with special needles, and making the fibers get denser and denser. The more you stab an area, the smaller/firmer that area gets.

Getting Wool

Get some white (maybe tan) and brown wool.

Basic Shapes

So now we felt the wool into a cylinder(white wool) and a kind of disk-shaped lump(brown wool).

Refine the Shapes

Now we felt the top brown part into a curved hill-shaped lump, and stab the bottom a loot to make it a dome shape. With the white cylinder we just taper it a little.

Felt Them Together

Next step is to stab the two shapes together: the tapered end of the cylinder and the dome-shape of the top should touch. Remember to stab them a lot to get them firmly stuck together.

Done!
