Easy Egg Custard
In this instructable I will show you how to make an egg custard. This no bake recipe for egg custard is easy to make with very few ingredients, and winds up being a great light dessert with a bit of protein in it. You can serve it warm or cold, what ever you like to do, maybe drop some fresh fruit in it too. Instead of baking it we will make in on the stovetop. If I can do it you can do it, let's get started!

Prepare the Milk
First let's take a large sauce pot and add our milk to it, along with our sugar and vanilla extract. Note, you can add less sugar if you want, but try it this way first to see how sweet it is for you.
Egg Yolks Prep
Now let's take our egg yolks and add to a bowl along with our cornstarch. Take a fork and blend the eggs with the cornstarch until completely mixed, it will wind up being like a paste.
Warm Milk
Now let's put our pot on the stovetop and warm it up to dissolve the sugar. We don't want it too hot at this point. Just so it is pretty warm.
Add to Eggs
Next we add a little bit of the warm milk at a time to our egg yolks, stirring really well as we go, we don't want the eggs to cook. Do this until you have added about half of the milk.
Add, Whisk, Bubble
No we add that back to our pot on the stovetop and keep heating and stirring until it thickens up. This process will cook the eggs, and we will wind up with a nice thick, pudding like consistency. When it starts to do a rolling bubble on the top it is pretty much done.
Serve It Up
Now add it to some bowls. You can let it sit for a few minutes and then eat it warm, or cover it with plastic wrap and then chill it in the refrigerator to eat later. Add some fresh berries to it if you like as well. :) Enjoy!
