Easy DIY Shelf
Hi, this was mainly a project for school but also a personal project. I’ve needed a shelf in my room for a while now, but never got the chance to actually get it myself, so I decided to make it. This project is insanely easy and cheap to do.
Supplies
1/4 inch plywood (1 sheet is fine, you can find it at home depot or lowes)
Wood glue (or a drill with screws. I used wood glue but screws work just fine)
Jigsaw (or some other kind of small, handheld saw)

Cutting the Wood
Cutting the wood out is very simple and easy. First, cut out a 13 1/2 inch inch by 7 1/2 inch long piece of wood for the base. This is what you are gonna be resting things on, so you want it to be fairly large and sturdy.
Second, then cut out two 7 1/2 inch long pieces of wood for the top and bottom parts (or sides, depending on how you look at it.). Then, cut out two 13 1/2 inch long pieces for the sides.

Setting Up the Shelf
Now its fairly simple. Now you can do what I did, and use wood glue to fix the pieces you just cut out on the base, or you can use wood glue in combination with screws for a more sturdier hold. The wood glue worked fine for me, but its up to you. Once thats done, let the glue dry.
Done!
And thats an extremely easy to make shelf. I had fun making this project with my family, and its really easy and cheap to make, only costing around 30$ for me to make. I could have made more, but wanted to wait a while and see if anything fell apart. Obviously it didnt, so Im definitely going to make more sometime in the future.
