Easy DIY Notebook With Pockets!
This notebook functions as a place to write and hold things. I have a lot of loose slips of paper drawings and quick notes, as well as a few supplies I didn’t know where to store without losing. So, this notebook is the perfect place for them!
Supplies
Blank sheet of paper
Marker(s)
Glue
Scissors
Index Cards (accidentally not included in picture)
Fold
Fold the paper in half.
Cut
Cut on the folded line to split the paper into two parts.
Color (Optional)
Use your marker to color one of the halves. Don’t discard the other one though, we will be using it again shortly. You may use any different colors, coloring supplies, etc. as you like. You can also decide if you want to color one side or both of the sides.
(Edit: I used a couple of other markers to add more design.)
Fold Again
Fold the chosen half in half. Remember not to discard the other half as it will be used soon.
Pages
Glue (or staple) the index cards onto one side of the half. These are now your pages.
Pockets!
This is the best part of the notebook.
Take your other half of the paper and fold it in half both vertically and horizontally. This makes a plus.
Then, fold both sides of the horizontal halve into the middle. When you unfold, there should be 8 squares.
This is hard in explanation, so I hope the included pictures show it better visually.
Pockets! (cont.)
Once you have divided the paper into eight, cut on the original plus. You should have 4 groups of 2 squares.
Pockets! (Cont.)
Do these steps to make the pockets:
Refold each of the four slips of paper in half, (try to make a cylinder) and glue where they are going to connect.
The pictures on this step are from one of my other Instructables (DIY Easy Accessories Pouch), but they show the same steps to make the pockets.
Decorating/Done!
Stick the four pockets on the top half of your notebook. Then, you can decorate more with marker.
That is the last step!
