Cutting the Bread

For the first step you will need to grab your Cuban bread and place it on top of the cutting board. This is just to make sure you don't scratch your counter top.

To start you will need to cut your bread with your bread knife. Flip your bread onto its side, then align your knife to the middle of that side. Cut your bread just enough that there is a good centimeter of it still attached, this will be the opening. Having the bread still partially attached to each other gives you much more stability when you toast the sandwich later.

Mayonnaise the Buns

After you cut the bread in half, you will need to add mayonnaise on both halfs evenly with your spoon.

Make sure to spread the Mayonnaise on every possible surface area, and make sure that there are no big clumps of mayonnaise because that would led to an unfavorable outcome. No one likes eating a big blob of mayo when your trying to eat your sandwich.

Placing the Ham

The next step in making the sandwich is to cut and place the ham on the sandwich

Cut off any parts of the ham that aren't to your liking with your cook's knife, then cut the ham down the middle in a vertical stripe. After you have cut the ham vertically you should place it on the sandwich, you could either drape the ham or lay it horizontally.

Placing the Cheese

After you place the ham the next thing you need to do is placing the cheese

Cut the slice of cheese horizontally with your cook's knife and place it on the sandwich, make sure that it hangs out of the sandwich just a bit. As you grill the sandwich later the cheese will melt nicely and combine all the ingredients together.

Spreading the Guacamole

For this next step grab a single of guacamole, and peel the seal off

With your spoon scope up the guacamole and place it on the sandwich, try to get mostly all the cheese covered with the guacamole in a thick coat. You would most likely have to use all of the guacamole in the little tub if you choose to use the same bread.

Placing the Salami

After you have placed the guacamole the next step is to place the salami.

For this sandwich you will be using only two salami slices. Put the salami on the sandwich about a centimeter apart from each other. You should as well try to push the salami into the crevice of the bread, this will make the sandwich easier to fold. After you have placed the salami, its finally time to fold! Take the bread and as gently as possible close it, don't be scared if there are ingredients sticking out.

Heat It Up

This step is probably the most dangerous in regards to children, so be carful

Put the heat to a low heat setting, and scoop up a half-spoon full of butter. Place the butter on the frying pan. After a few seconds the butter should start to melt. Try to spread the butter as it melts on your frying pan, to create a thin coating of butter on all possible sides.

Grill It

This is the last step, almost done!

Now you should place the heat in a high heat setting. Place the sandwich on the frying pan and turn it around for it can collect a coating of butter. With your spatula press the sandwich down, then flip it. On this side you should turn your sandwich around again, and press it down. You should as well press the sides, this will make your cheese melt. Do this multiple times until you get the consistency that you want, this is all up to your personal taste of how much you want to toast your sandwich.

And Done!

After all that grilling and preparation you are finally done, you've earned yourself the sandwich!

Take a soda, sit down and enjoy!
