Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread

This is a nice easy make ahead garlic bread, way better than the stuff in the freezer case.

Just mix up the garlic cheese mix ahead of time and refrigerate, grab a loaf of fresh bread on the way home from work and in 15 minutes pasta night is more awesome.

GARLIC! (and the Other Stuff)

Garlic cloves, lots of them (or less if that's what you like)
Fresh herbs (or just shake in some Italian seasoning and parsley)
1 stick of butter (softened)
1/4 block of Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese

Mince up your Garlic and herbs (i used basil, oregano and parsley... this time)
Mix up everything in a bowl.

You can pop this mix in the fridge or just spread it right on the bread. Letting it sit in the fridge really lets the flavors develop, so I try to make it ahead of time.

BREAD! (and Bake)

I like to make the garlic spread the night before and just stop by the bakery to snag some fresh bread on my way home from work.

If you are making pasta preheat your oven to 350 degrees when you put the water on.

Take your garlic spread and set the container near stove to let it warm up so it is easy to spread.

Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise and cover with the spread, nice & thick.

Close the loaf and wrap with foil.

Bake the loaf for 8 minutes

Unwrap and bake for an additional 5 minutes, if you are in a crispy crunchy mood, broil on low for 2 minutes

Remove the bread from the broiler promptly so you don't over do it. Close the loaf and slice, serve warm.
