This quick and easy bag is stylish while giving you the chance to keep your stuff organized with two small pockets.

Supplies

Tape measure
Ruler
Scissors
Sewing machine
Two pieces of 17 by 19 fabric
One piece 8.5 by 6
One piece 8.5 by
Fabric for your strap

Cutting

First, take your main fabric, and cut out two 17 by 19 rectangles. These are going to be what makes up your bag. Next, cut out your pockets. These can be made from the same fabric as your bag, or any scrap that you have laying around. Third, cut out your strap. This should be tailored to your body and height, so I'll leave it at that.

Sewing the Pockets

Before you start pinning, take your pockets and place them on one of the 17 inch sides. Between the two, they should take up all the space. First, sew the 8.5 by 6 onto the left side. This is the smaller pocket. Next, pin and sew the 8.5 by 8 to the right side.

Lay your two pieces of 17 by 19 fabric together inside out. We will flip it once we finish. Pin it up, and sew it. After you finish sewing, take the inside and grab it. This will flip it and hide the stitches to the inside. Next, fold a little of the top of the bag over, and sew it. This will prevent frailing.

Add the Strap

Cut two pieces of a coordinating fabric for the strap, to where it will be comfortable on your side. This will be different for everybody. Pin it to the bag, then pin the side of the strap together. Sew it like that, then do the other side.

Congrats! You just finished your bag
