First let's preheat our oven to 375 degrees F. (190 C). Next let's beat our eggs a little bit with a whisk. Then add the heavy whipping cream (half and half, or whole milk), then mix them both together well.

Salt and Pepper

Next let's add in our salt and pepper and mix those ingredients in well. You could certainly add them in at the beginning with the cream too.

The Pan

Next use a ready-made pie crust or a homemade pie crust and fill up a 9 inch tart pan. Optionally you can use a pie plate, pie pan, spring form pan, or even a square pan. If you would like a nice homemade buttery flaky pie crust check out my instructable on apple pie. https://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Apple-Pie-With-Flaky-Crust/

Bacon, Onions, and Cheese, Oh My!

Now let's add our bacon, onion, and cheese. Here is where you can make substitutions if you like. Sausage, ham, etc., make good substitutes for the bacon, well let's be honest is there really a good substitute for bacon? haha, but I digress. You could add in spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, etc. Use whatever kind of cheese you want. Have fun with it! Then pour the egg and cream mixture over the ingredients and bake the quiche in the oven for 25 to 35 minutes, until when you insert a toothpick, it comes out clean.

***If you are adding additional ingredients to the ones already there, depending on how many you add, you made need a bigger pan. :)

Cool, Garnish, Release, Serve

Now after the Quiche comes out of the oven, let's let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then add a garnish if you like. I had some fresh green onion growing in my garden, so I thought I would use that. Next release the quiche from the tart pan by pushing up on the bottom. Now cut into it and serve up a slice, or two or three! Enjoy!
