The COVID-19 disease is spreading like wildfire into our communities. According to WHO people are recommended to wash hands with soap and water regularly or use alcohol based sanitizers to cut down the spread of the virus. By reducing physical contact, automatic sanitizer dispensers help in containing the virus from spreading around.

Find a bottle or jar that you wanna use for the project. Make sure the mouth of the jar is wide enough (something like a mason jar).
You can give it a better look by peeling off any labels or stickers and remove the residue by using pure Acetone or hand wash alcohol.

You can use a power drill for drilling holes for the wire and tube.

If you don't have one tho you can use a soldering iron to make them.

To keep the tube from sagging, you can use a metal wire to make it flexible. Insert the wire inside the tube. You can braid it to make the wired tube stiffer. You can also add some M-Seal to make it stick to the cap more.

Lower the D.C pump into the container.

Add Nozzle

You can use the end of an old pen for the nozzle.

This is a pretty important part as it helps to control the amount of fluid exiting the dispenser.

You can use either super glue, double sided tape, or hot glue to attach the proximity sensor and the transistor onto the lid of the bottle.

Make sure to keep it neat and in close proximity to each other as it will help in the steps to follow.

You can use almost any type of hand sanitizer for the dispenser but make sure to use one which is more watery than thick or sticky as you may get lesser sanitizer.

And just like that your Automatic hand sanitizer dispenser is ready ! 😀
