Easy Apple Tart Using Cool Kitchen Gadget!
I really like cooking (especially baking!) so when I saw the Kitchen Gadget Contest I immediately wanted to do this! So using this super-cool and helpful apple-cutter I use a lot, I decided to make a Tart! An Apple Tart! So I hope you like this simple cooking project :D
P.S. This is my first project and contest I entered!
Supplies
I used:
- Apple Cutter
- Frying pan
- Wooden Spoon
- Tart Pan
- Fork
- Oven
- Plate and Small Fork (for serving)
& The ingredients are:
- 5 big Apples would be best
- 6 table spoons of Sugar
- 50 grams of Butter
- Also, a bit of Butter and table spoon of Flour (substitute for Parchment Paper or Baking Paper)
- 230 grams of Pastry Dough.
- Additionally, you can put in a bit of Cinnamon and/or Icing Sugar!
By the way, you can use different amounts of everything or experiment, this is just how much I used for this particular recipe!
Cut the Apples!
Firstly, take your 5 big apples, and I used my apple-cutting gadget but of course you can use a knife (safely!) to cut them as thin as you like. What's really cool, the gadget cuts the apple into 8 perfect slices and then the hard and inedible core with the seeds is left to be thrown away!
Caramelise the Apples!
Secondly, after you cut your apples, take a large frying pan and take your 50 grams of butter and 6 spoons of sugar and put in on the frying pan and stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon on a medium heat until you get a golden-brown caramel mixture. Then go ahead and throw the apples onto the pan and mix it with the caramel from time to time, for around 10 minutes.
Get the Tart Pan Ready!
While the apples are caramelising, get the tart pan and spread the bit of butter on it, and sprinkle the table spoon of flour on top of the butter. Instead of this, you can just use baking paper so it doesn't stick to the pan but I preferred using the butter and flour :)
Get the Dough!
After prepping the pan, get the 230 grams of pastry dough (mine was pre-made and bought), or as much as you need, and then perfect the edges of the tart! Also, remember to take your fork and make a bunch of holes on the bottom of the pastry dough; doing this will stop air bubbles forming under your tart, so it's not gonna ruin all your hard work!
Place the Apples, and Put It in the Oven!
When you got the dough ready, you can place your caramelised apples in the tart. There are many ways to arrange the apples in a decorative way, but I chose to place the apples in the tart evenly so every bite will be full of fruity sweetness! Preheat the oven to 180°C and then put it inside (with gloves so you don't get burned!) and then bake it for 35 minutes until the crust will be nice and golden, and then let it rest for some time in the oven...
Finishing the Tart!
After the Apple Tart is done cooling, you can sprinkle some cinnamon and icing sugar just to perfect your already fabulous dessert! You can then cut the tart into as many pieces as you want!
And the Most Important Step...
...Enjoy! Take a plate and a little fork, and you can eat and share the dish with your friends and family! The apple-cutter helped a lot and made this much quicker and easier! I hope it comes out as tasty as it came out for me and if you want to have this cool cooking gadget click here, there are many different ones but they are all very similar and hopefully as good as mine :)
Thank you!
