I have been wanting a way to make Chicken tenders in the air-fryer without taking too much time. After about different recipes with varying amounts of salt and panko, I think that I finally have found a recipe that tastes good and doesn't take a lot of time to make.
The checklist that I wanted to fulfill for my recipe includes:
- Enough salt and seasonings so that it adds enough flavor to the chicken, but it's not overpowering.
- Doesn't take a lot of time to make
- Doesn't involve a period of time where you need to put the chicken into the fridge after you coat it.
After 3 tries I finally got a recipe the way that I wanted it. The chicken cooked well and all the ingredients blended together in a great tasting chicken tender.
In this instructuble I am going to teach you how to cook my easy air-fry chicken tenders, as well as the recipe to make it just as I do.
Step 1: Tools and Ingredients

Tools:
- mixing bowls
- wisk
- big plate/dish (to put chicken on after you coat it.
- meat thermometer
- fork
- tin foil
- air-fyrer
Ingredients:
- 1 lb or one package of chicken tenders
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup panko
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp unsalted Cajun seasoning
Step 2: Salting the Chicken
![IMG_2458.JPG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FXP/ARBQ/KAI7V75P/FXPARBQKAI7V75P.jpg&filename=IMG_2458.JPG)
![IMG_2459.JPG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FTS/CK5I/KAI7V7BJ/FTSCK5IKAI7V7BJ.jpg&filename=IMG_2459.JPG)
For the first step you should salt the chicken. Put all of the chicken into the mixing bowl and then add the 1 tsp of salt. Then mix until the salt is distributed across all of the chicken. This is a simple, but important step as unflavored chicken doesn't taste good.
Step 3: Making the Breading

To make the breading add the 1/2 cup panko, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, and 1 tbsp of unsalted Cajun salt into a bowl and mix.
Step 4: Wisk the Egg

For the fourth step add your 2 eggs into a bowl and whisk them with either a whisk or a fork. Do this until the egg breaks up to a thinner consistency like the picture above.
Step 5: Putting the Breading Onto the Chicken

![IMG_2463.JPG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FIF/GPRD/KAI7V724/FIFGPRDKAI7V724.jpg&filename=IMG_2463.JPG)
When breading the chicken, first dip it into the egg and let the excess drip off. Then put it into the breading and roll it around. Then put it onto a plate that you designate to put the uncooked chicken onto
Step 6: Air-fry the Chicken
![IMG_2462.JPG](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/F56/1CW8/KAI7V70A/F561CW8KAI7V70A.jpg&filename=IMG_2462.JPG)
Put the chicken into the air-fryer in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes flip and then cook for another 5-6 minutes. After the 10-12 minutes check the temperature and if not up to 165 degrees Fahrenheit, put in another 2 minutes and check again.
Now that your chicken is done you can enjoy it! I hope that you enjoy this instructible and that it was easy make. Have a good day and keep creating
