Easy 4 Ingredients Super Mario Cinnamon Stars
In this instructable I am going to show you how to make very easy cinnamon stars and how to decorate them with a Super Mario frosting. The best part is: They are made with only four ingredients.

- 500 g (1.1 lb) grated almonds
- 400 g (0.88 lb) powdered sugar
- 1.5 tbsp cinnamon

- pastry bag (if you want to use the bottle I had you can get it here)

- plastic wrap
- rolling pin (not in the picture)
- star shaped cutter (not in the picture)
The Baking, First Part
Heat your stove to 150-175°C (302-347 °F)
First separate the eggs (from the yolks). Add a dash of salt to the egg whites and beat them until they are stiff (as shown in the picture). Then add the powdered sugar, beat it to a homogeneous mass, add some yellow food colouring and beat it again until it is all well mixed. Now put about a third of the mass aside, you will need that for the frosting later on.
Change the egg whip with the dough hook and add the almonds and the cinnamon to the other 2/3 of your coloured egg white. Beat it again until you get properly mixed dough (as shown in the pictures).

The Baking, Second Part
Now get two sheets of your plastic wrapping with a length of about 30 cm (12 inch). Put a part of your dough on one sheet and cover it with the other. Now roll out the dough until it has a thickness of about 1 cm (0.4 inch). Then cut it with your star shaped cutter and place the stars onto a baking tray. Note that it might be useful to cover the baking tray with some baking paper or a non-stick silicone baking mat.
Fill the rest of your egg white-powdered sugar mixture into the pastry bag and cover the stars with it evenly. Put them into the preheated oven for about 5 minutes. Note: You have to be really careful about not baking them too long, because then the frosting gets brown and your stars will taste more like roasted almonds than like cinnamon.

The Eyes
Take a tablespoon of powdered sugar and mix it with a few drops of water, you will get a gooey mass. Put a little bit aside and add some black food colouring to the rest and mix it evenly. Fill the mass into your pastry bag and place two small black stripes for the first part of the eyes. For the second part, take a brush or a toothpick and put a droplet of the white frosting onto the black stripes. After everything has dried your cinnamon stars are finished
