Easily Remove Jar Labels

Glass jars are particularly handy to reuse. I've seen many youtube DIY and crafting videos where people spend way too much time and energy removing the labels. This simple method takes 30 minutes and no scrubbing is involved!

Required for this project:

• The jar whose label is to be removed, filled with water
• Hot water
• Tablespoon
• Baking soda
• A vessel with a diameter of the jar diameter plus 5 cm (approximately 2")

Add 1 tbsp baking soda to the vessel. Stir in about 1 1/2 cups of hot water.

Lower the jar into the vessel. If the water does not cover the label add more hot water until it does.

Wait 15-30 minutes. The labels will slide right off the jar.

There will be a little glue residue left on the jar, it will wipe off with a wet cloth.

Wash the jar and use it for anything you like.
