ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS BASED CHRISTMAS TREE

Hello and Welcome Back!!!

As being an electronic enthusiast . I always see things or festivals /occasions as an opportunity to make some innovative things out of electronics .

So as Christmas is approaching by . I thought of making a Christmas tree but that sounds a bit non-technical . I have a lot of worn out or not working electronics components . So I thought why not to make a Christmas tree that has electronics components embedded on it !!!!.

So let's get started with the build !!!

First Watch the Video !!!

For better understanding watch the video Also you can watch other videos which would fascinate you!!

There was some error embedding it here

but you can watch it on my YouTube channel : Go Electronics

First of all I took two 1 meter strips of plywood .

Then marking 4 strips of 13cm each then of 11cm then of 9 cm and then of 7cm until 1cm in descending order .

Then drew a line with marker to separate between the strips .

As usual started took my handsaw and started the process of slaughtering every piece

it took me around 20 minutes for cutting every strip.

PILE OF STRIPS

After that was done I stacked each piece in a pile of 4 and calculated . But lucky nothing was missing and it were around 32 strips .

4strips - 13 cm

4 strips - 11cm

4 strips - 9cm

4 strips - 7 cm

4 strips - 5 cm

4 strips - 3 cm

4 strips - 2cm

4 strips - 1cm

BUILDING PATTERN

So first goes the 13 cm strips with two crosses or to be precise one multiplication sign and another addition sign .

The same pattern follows for the 11cm and the rest of the strips in descending order.

For more details visualize the pictures or watch the video on YOUTUBE .

PSEUDO BUILD

Now lets gather all the pieces of different sizes and together and PSEUDO build the Christmas tree to check if it looks good or any changes are required . But it looks perfect from here and build is perfectly set before gluing process is done ..

Now i took each strip marked a place in the center in order to glue it from the center . GLUESPOT !!!!!!

BUILDING THE MODEL

Then after gluing everything together the mechanical build is complete but now let's switch on to the electronics brain instead of mechanical one!!!!

EMBEDDING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

As I work with electronic circuits a lot as you can see on my channel !! sometimes the components like mosfets transistors diodes resistors and capacitors as well as fuses and batteries too. due to overvoltage or excess supply so instead of throwing them away I will utilize every component here and embed it on the Christmas tree and make it electronic component Christmas tree .!!!!

Now you can see various different electronic component on the tree and it looks a perfect artifact but how can we end the build or artifact without any led lighting so lets light the tree a bit .

LIGHTING THE TREE

20201219_234053-01[3].jpeg

So basically I took a base for my tree which will hold the tree there .

Then took a ring of basically salvaged from scrap and took some rgb leds added some push button and battery and BAM !!!!!! the build was complete !!

IT look just awesome ,....
