EASY EXTERNAL PSU ADAPTER FOR DEWALT DCW600B ROUTER WHICH CAN BE USED WITH JENMITSU 4040PRO

DEWALT ROUTER CONNECTIONS.JPG

I was searching for some ideas on internet to power up Dewalt cordless brushless DCW 600B router from external power adapter for my Genmitsu 4040pro CNC machine but could not find a proper circuit. I dismantled a router and some experiments and circuit analysis from the battery controller board found the proper connections to run the router from external PSU.

Supplies

Items you need,

  1. 18.5 volt 300w PSU. ( I used 19.5 volt 12.5 A , 240W Dell computer PSU.) Higher the current better
  2. Strip or Dot PCB to solder the component in the circuit above.
  3. Dewalt Dummy battery cover and connection board , ( Ali Express).
  4. Soldering Iron.
  5. Some thick hookup wire for high current.

The initial starting current of this Router is very high. That is the reason you need a high current power supply. If the PSU can't handle the starting current router will stop working. I am using my router on the Genmitsu 4040Pro CNC for carving. If you are using this router on Genmitsu 4040Pro you need to buy the 69mm Z-Clamp from Amazon.
