This tablet or phone holder is an addendum to my desktop easel plans.

The photos are self explanatory

The holder can be adjusted to slide up and down the slotted side of my large tabletop easel.

It can be adapted to fit on either side of the easel.

The cover image shows this holder attached to a small table top easel where two holes are drilled into the easel's side.

Supplies

A short length of pine timber - the same thickness as the easel frame - about 150mm

A 6mm bolt and thumb wheel or wing nut

A 6mm dowel rod - 25-30mm

And of course - you'll need a tablet or phone holder that can be fitted to a simple piece of MDF or other thin board.

The short length of timber that slides along the frame is angled on one edge so that the tablet faced the artist at a better angle.

The short dowel rod is glued into a hole on the one end of the slide, and a hole is drilled through the other end to fit the clamping bolt and thumb wheel.

The tablet holder has a hole drilled through it (without damaging any springs inside it) to allow a short flat-headed bolt and nut to be used to clamp it to the board. A single bolt is used so that the tablet, or phone, can be rotated.
