Dyslexia Cookies
I love baking, but as someone with dyslexia, I find recipes long and difficult to dig through to get the information I want.

This recipe is for classic chocolate chip cookies, but it's written in a clean, dyslexia-friendly way!
Supplies
- Small bowl
- Large bowl
- Electric mixer ⚡️
- Cookie Sheets
- Parchment Paper ️(Optional)
Prep to Start
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Cut the butter into slices to make it soften faster!
Dry Ingredients 🌵
Combine in small bowl 🥣:
- 2 & 1/3 cup flour
- 1 TEAspoon salt
- 1 TEAspoon baking soda 🥤
- 1 TEAspoon baking powder
Wet Ingredients 🌊
Combine in large bowl 🥣:
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 & 1/2 sticks butter (3/4 cup)
- 1 TEAspoon vanilla extract
Finish Batter
- Combine 1 egg into the wet ingredients bowl 🍳
- Combine the dry mix with the wet ingredients
- Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips 🍫
Bake Cookies ⏲️🍪
- Scoop batter into golf ball-sized balls
- Spread out on a baking sheet, making 4 rows of 3
- Ensure oven is at 375 degrees F
- Cook for 11 minutes, or until golden ⏲️
