Soak the Silk

Soak the silk in a solution of water and vinegar for at least 10 minutes.

I use 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water

Place the Lollipops

Place the damp silk into a microwave safe dish. Then place the lollipops on top.

It can help to dip one side into the solution to get the colors to start to bleed. Leave them there for a few minutes.

Flip the Lollipops

Flip the lollipops and place them elsewhere on the fabric with the other side facing down. Again, leave them for at least 5 minutes.

Continue this process until you have all the prints you want.

Microwave

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place in the microwave for 30 second increments for 2-3 minutes. Watch it carefully or the sugar can caramelize and turn brown (like what happened to parts of mine)

Rinse

Rinse under cool water.

If the colors bleed, microwave it a bit more. If they don't, increase the temperature and wash with mild soap, rinse, and let dry.
