Dumpling Wrapper Wetting Tool

In this instructable, I will show you how I made a dumpling wrapper wetting tool that can save more than a dozen of minutes each time I make potstickers/dumplings.
There are 4 major steps in making Chinese dumplings: make wrappers, make filling, wrap dumplings, and cook them. Making wrappers is a major time consuming step. One solution is to use frozen wrapper. However, that solution creates a proble. The frozen wrapper is drier and stiffer than fresh wrappers. It's hard to form completely sealed dumplings. The solution for that is to coat the edge of the wrappers with water that functions as glue to seal the dumplings better. However, that solution eats a lof of the time saved from using frozen wrappers because you have to dip your finger tip multiple times to coat the edge of one wrapper. That's why I have been making a tool to speed up the process in my mind for years until it finally came to tool that can save more than a dozen of minutes each time I make potstickers/dumplings when I found out the Instructables opened up Build-A-Tool Contest. Sometimes creativity just needs a little bit of push. Thanks Instructables!
Supplies

Make a Piece of Food Grade Waterabsorbing Rope

Ues a piece of yearn to measure the circumference of the 3.5" hoop.
Cut 2 pieces of 3" cheese cloth to the length of the circumference of the 3.5" hoop.
Roll one piece of the cheese cloth to a tight rope.
Place the rope in the center of the other piece of the cheese cloth.
Wrap the cheese cloth around the outer of the inner ring of the hoop.
Put on the Outer Ring

Put the outer ring on. You're done.
Test the Tool

As they say, the proof is in the pudding. I did two tests, one outise so I have better lighting in the video, one in the living room. The video includes introduction which is in this instructable as well. You may want to start watching at 1:30.
In one test, it took 35 seconds to make one dumpling without the tool, the watch continued to 1 minute with the tool, that means it took 25 seconds to make one dumpling using the tool. It saved 10 seconds. In the second test, it took 32 seconds to make one dumpling without the tool, the watch continued to 56 seconds with the tool, that means it took 24 seconds to make one dumpling using the tool. It saved 8 seconds. At home, I make about 100 dumplings each time, it will save me 13-17 minutes each time.
