Duct Tape Jacket
Super easdy and fun rain proof jacket made out of DUCT TAPE it cost probably $2.00 and i still had a lot of duct tape left over. I hope a lot of people try this because its super cool.
Step 1
Find an old shirt that you don't want, then put it on.
Step 2
Have someone start wrapping duct tape around you, from the waist up.
Step 3
When the duct tape is wrapped all the way to your arms, cut it off,and then start ripping strips about that are equal to the width from one armpit to the other, and take about 2 or 3 inches (5.1 or 7.6 cm) off the measurement.
Step 4
Place the strip on your chest, so that it over laps the last piece.
Step 5
Repeat 3 and 4 until it reaches the end of your shirt.
Step 6
Repeat 3-5 for the back.
Step 7
For the sleeves, duct tape over them by overlapping the strips of tape on the sleeve.
Step 8
Have someone cut a straight line up the back of the jacket, and wiggle out of it.
Step 9
Cover any part of the shirt that you might see.
Step 10
When you get out, duct tape the jacket back together, then cut it opposite of the first cut.
Step 11
Cut it to the size you want, then cover all the edges where you cut.
Additional Steps
ADDITIONAL: If you want your duct tape jacket to have a zipper, it is very easy to do and pretty cheap. Go to a sewing or craft store and buy enough zipper to go all the way down the length of your jacket with about 3" leftover.
Step 12
Cut the duct tape to the length of your jacket, down the front.
Step 13
Zip the zipper open and tape each side to one side of the opening in the front.
Final Step 15
Be careful not to tape over any of the functioning parts.
Congrats you are done. One cool part of this is that is is completely rain proof
