Duck Ami


Materials
· Crochet Hook size 3.75 mm or F or 5 (US)
· Yarn in white or desired color for duck
· Orange yarn for beak and feet
· Black buttons for eyes (or black yarn)
· Stuffing
· Plastic flower pot marbles for stability

Instructions for Body

**Ch 2.
1st rnd: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc
2nd rnd: Ch1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join. 12 sc
3rd rnd: Ch1. *1 sc in next sc. 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join. 18 sc
(Duck should be flat so far.)
4th
rnd: Ch 1. *1 sc in next 2 sc. 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join. 24 sc 5th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join.
Repeat rnd 5 until work measures 1 inch high (or desired height).
Stuff with a few marbles, then with stuffing.
Now start decrease for head.
Crochet 2 together 3 times (back of duck). Join. 21 sc.
SC in each sc around.
Crochet 2 together 3 times. Join. 18 sc.
SC in each sc around.
Crochet 2 together 3 times. Join.15 sc.
Repeat until head is 1 in high (or desired height).
Stuff duck head.
Next rnd: Ch 1. *1 sc in next 2 sc. Crochet 2 together. Repeat from * around. Join. 10 sc.
Next rnd: Ch 1. *1 sc in next sc. Crochet 2 together. Repeat from * around. Join. 7 sc.
Next rnd: Ch
1. *Crochet 2 together. Repeat around. Join. Fasten off, leaving long end.
Add stuffing as needed. Draw yarn through remaining sc. Pull tightly and fasten securely.Instructions for Beak (in Orange)
Chain 4 and join together in circle.
1st rnd: Create 6 sc in circle.
2nd rnd: *3 sc in next sc, then 1 sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around. 10 sc
Sl st in next sc and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Fold beak in half and sew on center of head.

Chain 4 and join together in circle.
1st rnd: Create 6 sc in circle.
2nd rnd: *3 sc in next sc, then 1 sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around. 10 sc
Sl st in next sc and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Fold beak in half and sew on center of head.
Instructions for Eyes (make 2 in Black)

Chain 4 and slip stitch together.
In circle formed by chain, sc 6 times and slip stitch together.
FOR SMALL EYES, STOP HERE and fasten off, leaving a long end for sewing on duck.
Chain 1. Sc in first stitch; 2 sc in next stitch, and repeat around. 9 Stitches. Slip stitch together, then fasten off, leaving a long end for sewing on duck.
Instructions for Wings (Make 2)


Chain 4 and join together in circle.
1st rnd: Create 6 sc in circle.
2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around. 12 sc
3rd rnd: *Sc in next sc. 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. 18 sc
4th rnd: SC in each sc around.
Sl st in next sc and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Fold wings in half and sew on each side of duck’s body, keeping them at the same height.
Instructions for Feet (Make 2 in Orange)

Chain 4.
1st rnd: 2 sc in first ch; 1 sc in next 2 ch; 2 sc in next ch. Turn to other side of chain. Sc in remaining chains. 10 sc
Rnds 2-5: Sc in each sc around. 10 sc
Sl st in next sc. Leave a long tail for sewing. Sew foot closed. Do not stuff.
Sew feet to bottom of duck, sticking out in the front.

Chain 4 and join together in circle.
1st rnd: Create 6 sc in circle.
2nd rnd: *1 sc in next sc; 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. 9 sc
3rd rnd: *1 sc in next 2 sc.; 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. 12 sc
4th rnd: SC in each sc around.
5th rnd: SC in each sc around.
Sl st in next sc and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew tail on back of duck’s body.

Duck is shown in blue but can be made in any color. Size is dependent on yarn and hook chosen.
