Dream Catchers With Charms!

Dream catchers look cool and are easy to make. They are really becoming an obsession of mine and I can't wait to show you just how to make them.
There are not many pictures in this instructable because my cam is not currently working, so sketches and pictures from the internet will have to do the trick!

If you are still having trouble you can check out How to make a dream catcher!! By hinagiku or you can just try your best. Just remember, it is simpler than you think!

Supplies

  • you need:
  • thick leather cord
  • beads
  • feathers
  • thin string
  • Charm (duh)
  • Big ring, bracelet, or macerme hoop
  • large feathers

Step One: How to Make a Dream Catcher

This is how to make a dream catcher (above.) It's fairly easy.

The fist step , possibly the easiest of all, is the wrapping. you take the thick string

(or regular yarn works too) and neatly wrap it around. Then you tie it at the end. Easy peasy! However, it goes faster if you fold the string in half and wrap both sides at once. (For more information on that, see How to make a dreamcatcher!! By hinagiku.) (again)

This should work, but if you have questions, just ask in the comments below!

Step 2: Web

The above explains it pretty well. Just keep going in a spiral motion, you'll get there eventually.

Step 3: Charm!

At this point, if you don't want the charm, put it aside. I have no pictures, so you're just going to have to listen closely.

When you're finished with the web, tie off the string, but don't cut it. Slide the charm about a centimeter from the new knot and tie it there.

This video also has information on the other steps, so it can be pretty helpful if you need it.

Step 4: Feathers

Like above, just tie it. However, if you want for extra protection you could add a thin layer of nail polish or glue. Anything works, really.

If you want to you can add other things such as beads, but you don't have to. I hope this was easy enough for you to follow!
