Doodle pads for children - I made these for a children's hospital, even though the hospital administration appreciated the gift they had to re-gift them to other children's organizations where it is safe to use re-cycled material (a note to the wise: check first if used materials are allowable before shipping your stuff).

Materials:
1. empty paper boxes e.g. tissue, cereal, tea...etc 2. paper cutter (or scissors) 3. paper puncher 4. plastic spiral wire (or stapler) 5. scrap paper e.g. unused portions of bank statements, unused portions of copied material...etc (can also use white or colored printer paper)

Process: 1. cut usable box portions these would determine the size of the doodle pad (e.g. you may want to discard brand name portion or expiry dates...etc) 2. the cut boxes will be used for the outside covers, make sure you have 2 box portions of the same size, they needn't be identical - OR if using staples fold the box paper in half

3. cut paper to match size of covers
4. cut spiral wire to dimension (either top or side) of covers and papers - OR skip this step if using staples 5. punch holes in covers and paper where wire would be inserted (either top or side) - OR skip this step if using staples and fold paper through the middle

6. insert paper (10-12 sheets) between covers aligning holes of covers and sheets
- OR if using staples align center folds of covers and papers 7. insert spiral wire to bind both covers and paper - OR if using staples, staple both covers and paper in 2 different locations on the center fold to secure them
