Dollar Store Peanut Butter Bird Feeder
This is an easy project that requires only a few tools and a dollar store jar of peanut butter.
This is a great feeder for those people that want to watch birds in their backyard but don’t want the mess of the feeders.

Getting Started
Take the lid off of the peanut butter. Get your wood scrap, the size of the wood doesn’t matter as long as it’s bigger than the lid of the peanut butter jar. Center it on your scrap of wood. Hold it down while you drill 4 pilot holes with the small drill bit. Using the 4 small screws, secure the lid to the wood.
Now center the hole saw in the middle of the lid, drill all the way through the lid and the wood.

Add a Wire to Hang It With
Using the same small drill bit, drill a hole in both of the top corners. Using the small piece of wire, attach using the holes to enable hanging.

Hang It Up
Put the jar on the lid. Hang it up in the backyard. I added some sunflower seeds to the “face” of the peanut butter jar. As you will see in the video, you can also make this feeder with a canning jar and canning ring.
