Doggie Treat/Sensory Pool

I wanted to find something that would alleviate some of Bear's boredom. Since it's summer out and I typically get him a pool, I decided to up the ante and add an element of fun for him.

He loves it, and all I have to do is ask him if he wants to go to the pool.

The only thing I would do different would be to add more balls, unfortunately, I bought all of the balls that were available at the dollar store.

If it's really hot out, I sometimes add a few inches of water.

Supplies

A dog or two
1 kiddie pool
Lots of Plastic balls
A couple slotted/wiffle balls and something to cut them.
Treats
Optional kong toy that you can put treats in.

Open up all the plastic balls and throw them in the pool.

Open the slotted balls and cut to creat a larger opening for treats to fit.

Throw the treat filled balls in the pool. If you have lots, put them at the bottom.

Optional: put peanut butter in a kong and add to pool.

Going to the Pool

Take your pup to the pool. Maybe offer a goodie at first then toss on in randomly to show it's okay.

Mostly, I just break them into tiny pieces toss them in and stir the balls around and let Bear have fun. Sometimes I just add one small treat so he has to search longer.
