Dog Item Organizer

When thinking about things to organize around the house, I immediately thought of my dog's items. In my house, we store the dog's stuff in the same area. It quickly becomes a mess and things get thrown around. We have tried to organize the items a few times, but it always went back to being messy. They have so many things which take up valuable space. I researched dog organizers and came up with nothing useful. I decided that the dog's items should be organized in a better way and came up with a solution.

In this instructable, I will explain the process of designing a dog item organizer.

When searching for dog item organizers, I was not able to find any good solutions. They were all generic storage shelves or only had space for a few items.

In Fusion360, I modeled the main body of the organizer. I measured different items that are commonly stored for dogs, such as medicine bottles, waste bags, bowls, and other things. It starts off looking plain but parts will be added later.

After creating the body, I began to add parts. First, I added a horizontal pole in the middle to hang dog clothes on hangers. It can also serve to hang collars and leases. Next, I created a slot for waste bags to be stored. The dog owner can pull an individual bag out take when they need one instead of the whole roll.

Next, hooks were added on the left side to hang collars and leashes.

The material was changed to a wooden material to make it look better and add color.

I added 2 types of food storage and a snack storage. First, I added a bowl for treats and snacks to be stored. It is plastic so the owner is are able to see how many treats are inside but does not break easily. Next, I added a larger container to store dog kibble. It is also plastic so the owner can see the kibble inside.

I added a canned dog food dispenser for a 2nd food storage. Cans are put in on the top and taken on the bottom. As a can is taken, the rest roll down to the front. I then added a label to show it is for cans.

After finishing all the parts, the final product ended up with hooks, a waste bag dispenser, clothes hanger, treat container, kibble container, canned food storage, medicine storage, and 3 areas for miscellaneous storage.

The product turned out great and could be used to store many dog items. I think it would be useful for dog owners and would serve as a good organizer.
