Dog Biscuits

Ingredients
I bet you have most of the ingredients in your cupboards already:
1/3 cup hot water
1 tsp chicken bullion
1 egg
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup quick oatmeal
1 cup cornmeal
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda

You will also need:
Mixing bowls, cookie sheet, measuring utensils, large spoons, rolling pin, cookie cutter and a mixer.
Making the Biscuits
Dissolve chicken bullion in 1/3 cup hot water. With electric mixer, add 1/2 cup peanut butter and 1/2 cup canned pumpkin. Add the egg to this and blend well.
In a separate bowl, mix together flour, oatmeal, cornmeal and baking soda. Stir until combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter/pumpkin mixture and mix until well blended.
Roll dough onto a floured surface and with a rolling pin, flatten to approximately 1/4" thick.
Baking
Cut out with a bone shaped cookie cutter. Place biscuits on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 14 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on cookie racks. Store in a cool dry place.
Since there are no preservatives in the biscuits, they will only be good for 3 or 4 days but they can be kept in the freezer.
Makes 28 dog biscuits. Total cost, about $1.50, which is about 5 cents per biscuit!
