Dog Animation
This is an animation I made with Blender because I wanted to do a project and this seemed like a good one. It is fun and cute
Supplies
You'll need a 3D software like Blender. You'll also need a Sketchfab account. It's free, so is the model.
Open Blender
You'll need to open a new Blender workspace.
Find the 3D Models
You'll need to go to your Sketchfab account and find a dog 3D model. Then you'll need to put that 3D model along with the texture it came with in the Blender workspace.
Animating
You can make this an animated project or not. It's your choice. You'll need the Rigifying add-on in blender and select the wolf amerture. Then match up the bones in the model and parent the model and the bones with automatic weights. After that you can go into pose mode and move your bones which then moves your model. The dog I got already came with the breathing and blinking animation for it so I just needed to add the jumping up onto a block and the tail wag. Animating this took me around 1 hour.
Making the Block
You will need to make and animate a cube to lift the dog up. I just added two cubes and animated one to lift up at the same moments that the dog's leg lifts up. It wasn't to hard. It should take you around 10 minutes.
Texturing
If you want this to look more realistic that you need to add a grass texture and a sky. The grass is easy because you just need to go to Polyhaven and search up sky and then download the EXR. Then go into the shader editor and add the sky as an environmental texture. Then to add the grass you'll need to go to Polyhaven and download a grass texture then make a plane and then add that texture to. the plane. Duplicate that plane so it covers a lot more area. This should take you 20 minutes.
Animating the Camera
You can animate the camera if you would like to. I animated it so that the sky would be viewable. It's easy to animated the camera. That should take you 5 minutes.
Finish
Yay! Now you're finished and you have a cute Dog animation!
