Diy Sour Watermelon Gum

Pucker up with this do-it yourself sour watermelon gum.

First, gather your ingredients:

1 TBS Gum base,1 TSP corn syrup, 1/8 TSP citric acid,1/2 TSP powdered watermelon flavoring,2 TBS powdered sugar.

Add the gum base into a disposable, microwaveable cup (or a chipped bowl that you can use again if you want another batch) and put it in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds.

Stir the gum base with a spoon , if the gum base hasn't melted,heat it up for another 5 to 10 seconds,continue doing this until the base is gooey.

Then add green food coloring ( that's optional) ,mix it in,then mix in the flavoring and the citric acid , you might need to heat it up a few times to be able to mix it.Taste a little bit , and if you like more flavor, keep putting little bits in at a time,until you get flavor you want. add the powdered sugar, then let it cool just enough to be able to handle it.Set it on a baking mat and knead it for about ten minutes .

Now roll out the gum into a cylinder shape.

Cut the gum into little pieces , or roll them into balls.

If you want more sourness in your gum, put the pieces in a Ziploc with some citric acid , to keep the sourness in. Enjoy!
