Diy Mask 2021 (Rotten Bio Hazard)

I repurposed a old transformer mask into a work of art. We will be updating the mask just don't have time to get 100% we will be adding toxic sludge that glows and the tubing on the sides will be clear tubing with a glow as well.

Old mask I used a transformers mask
Gorilla glue sticks
Staples
Latex
2-coke cans bottoms only
Wire loom or any thing that resembles the tubing
Hairspray

We cut the old mask and reshaped it the the form we wanted by gluing it in shape. I cut off the antennas aka (ear like parts) of the transformer mask also I cut the top of the mask but left the strap mount in place the only thing removed on top was the huge hump.

I used the clay to fill any gaps voids and also to give me the shape and texture I wanted makes it look more realistic. Use your own judgement on how much and how you would like to shape yours I only used 1 stick of sculpting clay.

I used a combination of tissue and latex to get the look and feal of rotten flesh. It's exactly as it sounds just make a small batch of chopped up small pieces of tissue and latex and put on with a cotton swap by dabbing it

We glued on the bottoms of the coke cans for our respirator and the wire loom at this time. You want to do this step before the blood so you can blend it in with the flesh.

At this point we are adding 3-4 different types of blood to give us a realistic look I will post pics of the products used I love this brand of product I use all of there makeup etc. Be an artist at this point us e your imagination. After the makeup add hairspray to the outside of the mask so the makeup stays and isn't rubbing off also gives it a shine when light hits it.

After it's done take it out and scare the kids. We won a 2 costume awards this yr so far for best makeup and diy award hope to win this one thanks for looking we have a TikTok with a video for all who would love to see it in action @kkustomz83.
