Disinfecting metal tools can be challenging but extremely important when running a salon. Unlike plastic, metal tools can rust if soaked in disinfectant for too long. Some disinfectants work well for metal tools to ensure they do not rust when used according to manufacturers' directions.

After cleaning all debris from the metal tools, soak them by following the manufacturer's directions on the bottle. Make sure when submerging you are using a broad-spectrum disinfectant.

After Submersion

After disinfecting your tools, they must be kept inside a closed container. You can also take it to another level by storing the disinfected tools inside an Autoclave Sterilizer.
