Dinosaur Necklace
I got the great privilege to visit a travelling exhibit called Jurassic Quest last Friday, but didn't have any dinosaur swag to wear! So before we went I scavenged my craft drawers for some inspiration and stumbled upon a plastic dinosaur! This is what happened to it.
Paint Away!
I got some gold spray paint and thoroughly painted my dinosaur.
Drill a Hole
I didn't get any photo of this step unfortunately. That may be for the better because I didn't do what I should have done. What I should have done was used a drill bit, but I was lazy and found the pointiest object I could find (I don't even know what it's called. :P ) and wrestled it through.
Ring of Power
This is the step where if you have a jump ring, use it. If not, do as I did and take a bit of wire and thread it through the hole. Wind the ends around itself to make a loop.
Chains!
Add the chain to the necklace and you're finished!
Enjoy!
I got so many comments on my necklace at the exhibit. Now keep in mind that this craft, like all Crafty Dragon crafts, is open ended. You could do any number of plastic animals on this necklace and any color of paint you like. The sky is the limit!
