Dimensional Card

I'm showing you how to make a dimensional card using the Hunkydory dimensional aperture card kit, which is wonderful as you can add as many layers you want, without worrying about getting them flat when sending the card.

For this project I used: Hunkydory dimensional card kit, First Edition The Promise 8x8" paper pad, First Edition Sail Away 8x8" paper pad and Helz Cuppleditch Beach Life 12x12" paper pack.

Take the card blank, leave the plastic dome aside, and pick a background, measure and trim to size.

Fix the background on the inside of the card blank using washi tape. Close the card and using a pencil trace the outline of the aperture onto the background paper.

Cut out all the elements you wish to use in order to create your scene.

I fussy-cut a few waves and beach huts (from the Beach Life paper pack and Sail Away paper pad). For the sky I decided to fussy-cut a bunting from the Beach Life paper pack. To finish I cut a few boats.

After cutting all the elements, take away the background and start adhering aeverything using double-sided tape and foam tape.

After creating the scene, it's time to assemble the card.

Affix the plastic dome to the card blank using double-sided tape or glue. Then, adhere the background to the inside of the card making sure the scene fits inside the dome. Before gluing everything you can throw a few sequins inside as well.

Finish by adding a sentiment onto the dome.
