Dibella's Potion of Seduction (Elder Scrolls)
So you thought I was done making Elder Scrolls drinks? Oh heavens no! My dorkliness knows no bounds. You will now bear witness to the machinations of my strange little brain in all it's strangeness!
While this drink doesn't come in a fancy bottle like my Lava Whiskey, it is still a tasty beverage that coincides with the everyone's favorite lovey-dovey holiday (although I'm pretty sure that it's the only lovey-dovey holiday...): Valentine's Day!
First a little nerd background for those of you who are not in the know: Dibella is the goddess of love and beauty, which is a family friendly way of saying she is the goddess of sexy-times. While there has never specifically been a potion in any Elder Scrolls game affiliated with her, there is usually at least one item in every Elder Scrolls game that is akin to a love potion (including an item simply called "Love Potion" in Morrowind). For this reason I decided to make a love potion type cocktail with a little more character by basing it around the goddess of coitus.
I hope you find this drink as delicious as I do!
What You Will Need Is....
- A cocktail glass
- A cocktail shaker
- A measuring shot glass or jigger
- Vodka (0.5 oz)
- Peach Schnapps (1 oz)
- Pomegranate Juice (2 oz)
- A lychee fruit (garnish)
Peaches are a very sensual fruit. Fuzzy, soft, juicy, plump, and for goodness sakes they look like tiny butts!
Lychees are another fruit with a seductive appeal for similar reasons: they're juicy, round, subtle, sweet, and delicate... Now that I have your mind in the gutter, let me move on to the next step...
Mixing and Serving
- Pour your Schnapps, Vodka, and Pomegranate Juice into a cocktail shaker full of ice.
- Shake that thang, baby!
- Place one lychee fruit at the bottom of your cocktail glass.
- Pour the contents of your cocktail shaker over the lychee fruit.
- Serve to your chosen lover. (Or drink it yourself! To love others we must first love ourselves!)
Have a happy lovey-dovey time!
