Desk Organizer

I made a desk organizer. Like the name suggests, you put it on your desk to organize what you have so its not cluttered.

Features

It has many shelves in which you can put your stuff. it has two holes to allow you to carry it, as demonstrated by a drawing I made. It has two cups to hold your pens and pencils. I made two to be more organized, you wouldn't have to sift through all your pens and pencils to find what your looking for. Since the one in the back would be too tall if I left it extruded to be that tall, I decided to make half if it to be a place for more storage.

Why You Would Want It

It would take a fairly large portion of space on your desk, but it would be better than everything being sprawled on your desk, being messy, and all over the place. It has a cute, colorful design with smooth, extruded flowers that give an interesting texture to look at and feel. It has holes that you could use to carry it for easy transport. Easy organization, and lots of space!

I underestimated the size of my desk organizer, its way smaller then it should be. So, because of this, don't pay attention to the lengths and sizes.

  1. i made a rectangle
  2. i extruded it
  3. i made a shape in the right side of the rectangle
  4. i extruded it the same amount as the rectangle (.25in, but its not correctly proportioned)
  5. i mirrored the extruded shape to the other side
  6. i made a rectangle that fir behind my desk organizer
  7. i extruded it (.25in)
  8. i made a tall rectangle near the back of the organizer that would be a wall for a place to hold papers and folders
  9. i extruded it
  10. i made a shape similar to the shape i made before, but shorter/smaller and inside the left side of the organizer
  11. i extruded it, but this time, i chose the "second end position" option and used that to make it have a space between the sketch and where i want it to be
  12. i did practically the same thing on the other side, but this time, i made it taller
  13. i extruded it using the same technique
  14. i made a rectangle on the upper part of the outside of my first shape
  15. i extruded it to meet with my second shape
  16. i made a ellipse, or oval shape in the rectangle i just made
  17. i extruded it, but this time, i removed instead of added
  18. i made a rectangle meeting with bottom of the hole i just made
  19. i extruded it to meet with the back of the organizer
  20. i made another oval at the back, top, middle of the organizer
  21. i removed this as well
  22. i made a rectangular shape at the top outer left side of the second shape i made
  23. i extruded it to meet with the first shape i made
  24. i made three rectangles of lessening length on the right side of the second shape
  25. i extruded it
  26. i made a rectangle on the top of my first shape
  27. i extruded it as far as i could without making an overhang
  28. i made a rectangle on the right side of the organizer with an offset perimeter
  29. i extruded the outside of the rectangle first
  30. then the inside to complete my cup
  31. i chamfered the edge of the shelf on top of shape one to be a more smooth transition
  32. i filleted the edge of my cup to be more smooth
  33. this is then i decided to make two cups, i sketched something similar to cup one, but already added the fillets in the sketch, as well as connecting it to cup one with a one outer face/line
  34. i did the same thing with cup one, but as a shorter cup, i extruded the outside
  35. and extruded the bottom
  36. i made a rectangle on the bottom right side of my first cup, leaving a space between it and the very bottom
  37. i extruded/ removed it to make a space for extra stuff, since the original cup was looking a little too tall
  38. i made a sketch on the bottom to line up with the perimeter of my cup
  39. i second end point extruded it to make a new bottom for my cup
  40. the next few images and steps are just adding a simple bubble flower design that was extruded a bit and filleted round, you don't need to do this if you don't want to, or if you want to add a different design
  41. and now, you're done!
