Delicious Pasta Dish From Soup
Hi home cook fellows! I made this pasta dish based on a Heinz tomato soup. Before i started cooking i gave the soup a taste and not trying to be picky it really did not taste good, and I was actually kinda worried for the result. But by using a couple of good ingredients this dish turned out absolutly amazing. Will definitely make it again. It is creamy, a little spicy and has amazing flavours from the basil, parsely and cheese. If you ever have a can of soup laying around, I will defintly recommend you trying this dish
What You Will Need
to make this dish you do need a few ingredients, and if you want, you can cut off the basil, parsely, cheese and chili, but it will give you a way less interesting result.
I do not use measurements for the recipe, and won't recommend you doing either. By making it with your eyes and thoughts, you will learn way more and it is more fun. If else you can look at the pictures in the process.
You will need:
- Pasta
- Basil
- Parsely
- Heavy Cream
- Parmigiano Regiano
- Heinz Tomato Soup (or others)
- Ricotta
- Peber
- Salt
- Chili Flakes
- Garlic
Pasta
To start of fill a pot with enough water for your pasta and add a generously amount of salt. Put it in boil and cook your pasta a little shorter than the instructions on the pack. This is important since we will cook the pasta the rest of the way in the sauce
Make sure to save some of the pastawater for the sauce, when the pasta is ready.
Start the Sauce
Now we will move on to the sauce. To start of heat a pan on medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil and butter. When the pan is hot throw on 2 small cloves of finely sliced garlic and a bit of chili flakes
Building the Sauce
When the garlic have been toasting for a minute or two, we will begin building the sauce starting with half a can of the tomato soup, salt, peber and enough heavy cream to give the sauce a nice orange color.
Adding the Pasta
Next we will throw in the pasta and when that's nice and incoperated, we add a healthy amount of Parmigiano Regiano along with a bit of pasta water for the prefered consistency.
Almost There
When you are happy with the sauce, take it off heat and place a small handfull of chopped parsely and basil. Stir and place your delicious pasta in a nice bowl.
Finishing Touch
Now we are almost there, but to finish it of, place small spoons of a nice ricotta cheese, a bit of parsely and some flaky salt. Take a picture and enjoy your delicious pasta dish made from tomato soup you would otherwise not have eaten.
