Delicious Crockpot Chicken Soup

IMG_7443.JPG

My grandmother used to say that chicken soup is not just delicious but it's also to uplift the broken hearts and it helps to heal faster when you're sick. We enjoyed it at home frequently even without broken hearts or sickness. This recipe is full of flavor and the part I love the most is that you only put everything in the crockpot and it does all the work for you. It serves 3 large portions.

Ingredients

3 cups of water

6 small pieces of chicken (i like to use legs and thighs)

5 carrots

1 potato or squash

1/2 onion

5 branches of cilantro

Salt

Pepper

Powdered chicken bouillon

Season the Water

Put 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of powdered chicken bouillon.

Put some salt and pepper in each piece of chicken. You can also add some powdered chicken bouillon on them. The one I like is one made of veggies and gives a lot of flavor.

Plug in your crockpot and turn it on in low intensity. Leave it on in a safe place during the night or for 6-8 hours. You have to be careful to leave it with nothing around that can catch fire easily.

Ready!

Turn it off and unplug it. Serve it in a plate with a piece of chicken and vegetables. You can also put some raw onion and cilantro on top. My favorite way to eat this is with some lime and hand made corn tortillas.

Enjoy!
