Delicious Chocolate Bundt Cake W/ Cream Cheese Frosting
This is a very delicious bundt cake that is very simple and easy to make. It is very moist and tastes awesome with the cream cheese frosting.
Supplies
For the cake:
1 cup of butter
1/2 a cup of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of kosher salt
1 cup of water
2 cups of flour
1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
For the cream cheese frosting:
4 ounces of unsalted butter, softened
4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
2 cups of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Prepare
You want to preheat the oven to 350 degrees then grease a 10 - 12 cup bundt cake pan
Melted Butter Mixture
You want to get a small sauce pan then place it on medium heat. In the pan you want to combine the butter, salt, cocoa powder, and water. Stir until everything is combined the set aside off heat.
Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking soda.
Combining the Wet and Dry Ingredients
You want to add half of the melted butter mixture into the dry ingredients and then mix until they are combined. Now you want to add the rest of the mixture and mix well. Then add the eggs one at a time, then the sour cream or Greek yogurt, and then add the vanilla extract. Whisk until they are combined.
Baking the Cake
You want to pour the batter into the prepared pan and then place in oven. Wait around 40 - 45 minutes then stick a toothpick in it and if it doesn't come out clean then wait longer. Let the cake cool for about 30 minutes before taking it out of the pan.
The Cream Cheese Frosting
In a large bowl combine the butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Cool the frosting for 10 minutes before placing on cake. Enjoy!
