This hot chocolate is super delicious and really easy to make! It only has two ingredients, and it turns out really delicious. I really like how this recipe gives the hot chocolate a head of foam, which isn’t really present on other recipes. Give it a try, and enjoy next to a warm fire or a snowy landscape!

Supplies

You will need:
-A 4 Quart Pyrex measure
-A microwave
-1 cup any milk (2% is the best, but I tried it with coconut milk and that was really good too)
-A handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips
-An immersion blender with a blade attachment
-A mug or cup to serve

Assemble the Hot Chocolate

First, you’ll want to start by pouring a cup of milk in a 4 Quart Pyrex. Get out your chocolate chips and add a handful to the milk. If you want to add a little vanilla extract or cocoa powder, you can do that too.

Heat It Up

Next, put the Pyrex with all of the ingredients into a microwave. Heat it for about a minute to a minute and a half, or whatever your desired temperature is. I always heat it to a little over lukewarm since I have a heated mug.

Blend It

Take out the Pyrex from the microwave and set it on a flat surface. Plug in your immersion blender and attach the blade to the end. Some immersion blenders might have a whisk too, but a blade is better because it chops up the melted chocolate and adds much more foam than the whisk. Immerse your immersion blender in the hot milk and turn it on low. Blend until the milk turns a chocolate color and all of the chocolate is dissolved. Notice how foamy it gets when you blend it?

Enjoy!

Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and enjoy! If you want to heat it up more in the Pyrex before pouring it in the mug, go ahead. You can also add whipped cream or marshmallows for an extra treat!
