Dehydrating Apple Slices
These are great for a crunchy hiking snack!
Items required:
- Dehydrator
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Apples (Sour ones are the best ex. Pink Lady) (HINT: Ask your local grocer/fruit stand if they have fruit on the way out - I got this bag for 50% off)
Wash + Cut Apples in Thin Slices
Cut out dark parts + bruises. Keep skins on.
Place Apple Slices on Sheet
Put them as close as possible WITHOUT overlapping.
Dehydrate
After placing as many apple slices on the sheets (ex. 12 apples filled 7 sheets), dehydrate on fruit/fruit roll setting (approx. 135 degrees). I put on these from 7:00 pm until 4:30 pm the following day and they came out crispy and delicious!
