Find or Make Your Base

You want a sturdy base for your lamp. This base can range from a box to a fancy object you find, as long as the base can support the top you are fine.

Build Your Lamp Stem

To truly capture the proper shape of a lamp you want to make a stem to hold the future lampshade. Start by gluing bottlecaps together until you are satisfied with the height.

Building the Lampshade

Start by cutting 3 solo cups in half vertically.

Next, remove the bottoms of the cups.

Then, make a small cut in the middle of the cup's side to better interlock the cups.

Finally, fit the cups together while gluing to secure the wanted lampshade shape.

Begin by breaking the plastic knives in half and cutting off the rim of your last solo cup.

Next, glue the knife pieces to the top of the shade and the cup ring to make support the shade.

Then glue the ends of the knives not attached to the shade to your larger lid with glue.

Finally, glue your larger lid to your lamp base stem.

Enjoy Your New Lamp
