Decorative Fall Sign
This fall, why not make your own decorative sign? It's super easy to do, and it's a craft the kids can enjoy too.
What You'll Need
- 2 Preval Sprayers (Home Depot)
- Hot glue gun
- Paper towels
- Rectangular piece of wood (Hobby Lobby)
- Wooden letters (Hobby Lobby)
- Yellow, orange and red craft paint
- Decorative metal object (Hobby Lobby)
Spray the Sign and Letters
Fill a Preval Sprayer jar with 1.5 oz. of orange water-based paint and 1 oz. of water. Cap, shake and attach the spray can.
Spray the rectangular wood piece with even strokes, making sure to cover the entire surface.
Next, fill another sprayer jar with yellow paint, using the same formula as above. Spray the wooden letters
Add Depth to the Sign
When your sign is dry, dab a wet paper towel lightly into red paint and smear it across the surface. This will give it a more rustic and interesting look.
Glue on the Finishing Touches
Dab hot glue onto the top of the sign and attach the metal object to the center. Last but not least, hot glue the wooden letters onto the surface.
This is a unique and inexpensive fall sign that no one will ever guess you made.
