I love decorating with lights, it just makes everything brighter! [ Literally and figuratively! ]. I just got a new desk and I wanted to add some decorations, but also light the area up a little more. And this popped into my mind! It's a way to decorate an area and hang some of your beloved photos!

Dip the paintbrush into the glitter glue and spread a thin layer of the glue on one side of the clothespin.

Do this with all of the clothespins.

Let them completely dry, before moving onto the next step.

2# Putting the Nail Polish On

Use the tweezers to put the stickers on the clothespins [ or you can use your fingers, I just found it easier to use the tweezers, so the stickers don't stick to your fingers. ]

Supplies:

  • 6 or more mini clothespins
  • Hot glue gun with glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • String of lights [ any length ]

#1 Removing the Flower From It's Stem

Take the plastic piece that's holding the 2 flower pedals together out.

Usually there's a little stem underneath the middle part of the flower, so you want to cut that little stem off.

Put the 2 pedals back on top of each other and put the smallest dab of hot glue in the center, and then stick the small middle piece on top of that dab of hot glue. You may need to press down carefully on the center piece to stick it down.

And if you're worried the 2 pedals won't stick together, pressing down on the center piece of the flower pushes the hot glue through the hole, thus sticking the 2 pedals together.

Set aside.

#2 Gluing the Flower and the Leaves to the Clothespins

Glue the leaves and flowers however you want on the clothespins.

#3 Gluing the Clips to the Lights

Put a little bit of hot glue on the back of the clothespins, place the clip wherever you want on the light strand, and let dry.

Hang Your Lights and Photos!!

Find a good place to hang your lights and put your photos in the clips and you're done!

You can also just use the flower clips as a decoration instead of putting pictures in them!
