Decorative Cardboard Tube Flower

In this instructable I will show you how to make a decorative flower out of only cardboard rolls, glue, and tape. I hope you enjoy this instructable, stay safe!

Supplies

  • Thin cardboard tubes
  • Hot glue and glue gun
  • scissors
  • tape

Inner Petals

Cut one cardboard tube in half lengthwise, flatten it out. cut slits halfway down and about 1 centimeter apart, these should go across the long side of the sheet. Now roll it up and tape the non cut part together. after you have done this spread out the ¨petals" by slowly pressing them against a surface.You have now finished the inner petals.

Outer Petals

Take two rolls and cut them into circles. After you have cut them turn them into pointed ovals. Then take them in your hands and bend them into an S. Make it wider so it looks like the segments in the final picture.

Glue the Petals

For the first layer of petals glue them all going in a counter clockwise direction. glue down as many petals as you can. For the second layer glue them going in a counter-clockwise direction. You have finished the main flower!

If you desire you may glue pipe cleaner to the a back center of the flower for added detail.
