Decorated Box

To make this decorated box  you will need paper, glue, scissors and a pencil.

The first step is to fold the corner of the piece of paper down as shown. Cut off any excess paper like in the picture to make a paper square. Unfold the square, you will see a diagonal crease. Fold the other way diagonally. You will now see where the lines are intersecting. This is the center of the square.

Fold the vertices inward to the center of the paper. Next fold the edges of the paper to where the vertices you folded inward in the previous direction. Now unfold what you just folded as shown. Then turn the paper 90 degrees and fold the edges of the paper to where the vertices you folded inward in the previous direction. Now unfold what you just folded as shown (again).

Cut the parts higlighted in the picture and pull the flap next to two of the parts cut paralell from each other as shown. You should see four squares that were formed when you cut on the highlighted lines. Fold the two squares that were closest to the flap that was folded up up and then 90 degrees. Then, fold the flap that you folded up back down again except this time over the squares. Then do the same thing except this time on the other side. What you have just made should look like a box. But it's not done yet...    

Shade in ever so lightly the parts of the box that you want to decorate. Then, unfold the box.Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!  Erase the parts that you want to decorate and draw what ever you want to draw. Then fold the paper back to the box using the creases.   

Put a little dab of glue on the part where the vertices meet in the center of the bottom of the box. YOU ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
P.S. I put a smiley face and some other things on the box just for an example but you should probably put something more detailed!
